هنيئاً لأيام الزمانِ حَلاَلِها ال

مُباحِ مداهُ والتِقاءِ المُحرَّمِ

Congratulations to the days of time, its permitted joys,

Its unbounded pleasures, and forbidden unions.

بقاؤكَ مَضَّاءَ العزائم نافذَ الأوا

مِرِ ذِمْراً في النَّدى والتقدُّمِ

Your presence illuminates resolute minds, effective arms,

Pass leisurely through meadows, and progress.

تفوقُ نوالَ المُعْصراتِ عطيَّةً

وتفضلُ حدَّ المشرفيِّ المُصمِّمِ

You surpass the yields of vintages in bounty,

And exceed the level of the exalted determined.

ويرجى بنانٌ منك في السلم والوغى

فيهمي وشيكاً بالنَّوالِ وبالدَّمِ

And I hope for construction from you in peace and war,

Imminent bestowal and bloodshed.

تُقى عضد الدين الهُمام كجودهِ

مدى الدهر لا يختصُّ منه بموسم

You protect the pillar of religion like his generosity,

Throughout time not limited to a season.

فما رجبٌ في النُّسك منه بزائدٍ

ولا المحلُ يهديه طريق التكرُّمِ

So neither is Rajab in devotion an excess,

Nor does the occasion prompt his generosity.

ولكنَّهُ للّهِ في كل حالَةٍ

مطيعٌ ومُعطٍ كل مُثْرٍ ومُعدم

But to God in every state he is obedient,

Bestowing every fruit and barrenness.
