1. ولو كان لي في ذبح نفسي قُربةٌ

    إلى الله بادرتُ المصير إلى الذبْحِ

    If my soul's slaughter brought me close,

    To God, I would hasten to slaughter.

  2. وفاءً بشكر الله عن حفظ سيد ال

    سلاطين مجموع الفخارِ أبي الفتحِ

    In gratitude, thanking God for preserving,

    The master of all sultans, the essence of pottery, my father Al-Fath.

  3. فتىً صحَّة الدنيا بصحةِ نفسهِ

    وقولي هذا في الدلالةِ كالصبحِ

    A youth whose own health brings health to the world,

    And my words in meaning are like the dawn.

  4. كريمُ السجايا يحسد الماء لطفه

    بريءٌ من الكِبْرِ المُذمَّم والشحِّ

    Generous in nature, water envies his gentleness,

    Innocent of the blemished arrogance and stinginess.

  5. يباري بجدواه الفرات إذا جرى

    وينهل من طعن الكماة شبا الرُّمحِ

    His bounty rivals the Euphrates in flow,

    And he draws from the thrusts of spears the youth of the lance.

  6. إذا ما اسْتقاد العاديات إلى الوغى

    تلْنَ بتصهالٍ له سورةَ الفتْحِ

    When the foe are led to battle's din,

    The Chapter of Victory softens for him.

  7. فإنْ يكُ قُرْباني قليلاً فإنني

    كثير الدُّعاءِ والمحبَّةِ والمدحِ

    If my offering is little, I have much,

    Prayer, love, and praise.
