I am descended from one whose burnished blade is keened,
Of noble stock, famed for magnanimity,
With bounteous wealth for all who come to him.
A Quraysh, foremost in glory and eminence,
Their way to stab the backs of warriors, and tend to allies,
To seize honor with long, rapacious hands,
And lead the steeds bareback like lords of the desert,
Stumbling over the howdahs and litters,
Through dark battles and shining faces.
