    The open-faced, most noble Hashimite

If he pours forth in arid desolation

It's as if his forehead is a Yemeni sword

Whose blade the whetstone has sharply honed

When roused, his traits rush forth like storm-winds

And in his smiles, the morning dew appears

When thoughts in council spin about confused

He frees them from the shackles of the new

A cloud of fragrant mist, if it's enclosed

Within the club, and lion-like at battle's scene

His will rejects all base humility

Content with glory, though of wealth bereft

I thanked a garden, gave it pride of place

And made it home to songbirds or parade

How can I stay silent, without praise

When you have granted me such wealth and rank?

The task remains, so speak with eloquence

The likes of you, I need not teach to talk

    Obligations have taken my patience

The soul's distress prevents it being told
