مُلْبِسي مِنْ هَجْرِهِ ثَوْبَ الضَّنَى
وَمذيب القَلْبَ حُزْناً وعَنَا
My garb from his estrangement is the robe of sorrow,
Melting the heart with grief and care.
فَبمنْ أَعْطاكَ يا كُلَّ المُنَى
قَامةً تُزْرِي بأعْطافِ القَنا
By whom has He granted you, O epitome of grace,
A figure that rivals the bending boughs.
وَمُحَيّاً جَلَّ مَنْ صَوَّرهُ
مُخْجلَ البَدْرِ سَناءً وسَنَا
And a face that outshines the full moon in splendor and brilliance.
O angel of beauty, be kind to me,
يا مَلِيكَ الحُسْنِ كُنْ لي مُحْسِناً
لا يَراكَ اللّه إلَّا مُحِسْنَا
May Allah only see you as kind.
