يَا مَنْ دَعَوْتَ لَهُ غَداةَ دَعَوْتُهُ

فَأَبى يُجيبُ ولِلصُّدودِ عَلائِمُ

O you whom I called to when I called him the next morning

Yet he refused to answer though rejection was manifest

قَصْدِي أَراكَ فَإِنْ أَبيْتَ فَإِنَّما

قَصْدِي أُخَبِّرُ عَنْكَ أَنَّكَ سَالِمُ

My purpose is to see you so if you refuse then verily

My purpose is to inform about you that you are safe
