سُيُوفٌ مَوَاضٍ مُرْهَفَاتٌ قَوَاطِعٌ
قَوَاضٍ يَروحُ المَوْتُ فِيهَا ويَغْتَدِي
Swords—gleaming, finely honed, decisive cutters—
judges, within which death goes forth at dusk and dawn.
إِذَا جُرِّدَتْ في الحَرْبِ صَالتْ كأَنّها
عُيُونُ عَليٍّ في فُؤَادِ مُحَمَّدِ
When drawn in battle, they sweep forth as though they were
Ali’s eyes within Muhammad’s heart.
