Tell me, how long will your disdain and coquetry last?

You are not one who finds pretense becoming.

Had you wanted union, nothing would have prevented you -

Neither an admonisher nor one who made your purpose difficult.

For me you show hardness and rejection,

Yet for others you show affection and union.

Leave off your coquetry and be fair, and tell me:

What rejection between us can be legitimate?

I am he whom you knew, though now

    Weariness has come between us.

O languid-eyed one, for me your eyelid

Has no consolation except sleep and withdrawal.
