1. لا أُجازِي حَبيبَ قَلْبي بِظُلْمِهْ

    أَنَا أَحْنَى عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قَلْبِ أُمِّهْ

    I do not punish my beloved though he may do me wrong

    I am kinder to him than a mother to her little one

  2. جَوْرُهُ مِثْلُ عَدْلِهِ عِنْدَ مَنْ يَهْ

    واهُ مِثْلي وَظُلْمُهُ مِثْلُ ظَلْمِهْ

    To one who loves, wrong and right appear the same

    His faults to me are virtues, strange as that may seem
