أَدُورُ لِتَقْبِيلِ الثَّنَايَا وَلَمْ أَزَلْ
أَجُودُ بِنَفْسِي لِلنَّدامَى وَأَنْفاسِي
I still roam to kiss the folds, I have not ceased
To give myself to the repentant, and my breath,
وَأَكْسوَ كَفَّ الشَّرْبِ ثَوْباً مُذَهَّباً
فَمِنْ أَجْلِ هَذا لَقَّبُوني بِالكَاسِ
And dress the palm of drinking in a gilded robe,
So for this they nicknamed me "the chalice."
