وَحُرْمَةِ الذَّاهِبِ مِنْ عَيْشِنَا

وَطِيبِ أَيَّامِي الَّتي وَلَّتِ

By the sanctity of one gone from our life

And the goodness of my days now past

عَلى مَا تَعْهَدُوني وَفيٌّ

وَعُقْدَةُ المِيثَاقِ مَا حُلَّتِ

Loyal am I to the vows between us

The knot of the pact remains still tied
