أَسرعْ وَسِر طالب المَعالي

بِكُلِّ وادٍ وكُلّ مَهْمَهْ

Hasten, you who seek the heights, through every valley

Heedless of the pain each path may bring.

وَإِنْ لَحَى عاذِلٌ جَهولٌ

فَقُلْ له يا عذولُ مَهْ مَهْ

Though the ignorant chide and censure you,

Say to them: avaunt! It matters not.
