وَحَقِّ هَذِي الأَعْيُنِ السَّاحِرَهْ

وَحُسْنِ هَذي الوَجْنَةِ الزَّاهِرهْ

By the truth of these enchanting eyes,

And the beauty of this blossoming cheek,

لَوْ وَاصَلْتني في الدُّجَى لَمْ يَبِتْ

قَلْبِي مِنْهَا وَهْوَ بالهاجِرَهْ

If you had kept me company in the darkness,

My heart would not have remained detached from you.

بِاللَّهِ خَفْ إِثْمِيَ يا قَاتِلي

فَاليَوْمُ دُنْيا وغداً آخِرَهْ

For God's sake, lighten my sin, oh my killer,

Today is the world, and tomorrow is the hereafter.

قلبيَ مِصْرٌ لكَ ما بَالُهُ

قَدْ ذَابَ مِنْ أَخْلَاقِكَ القاهِرَهْ

My heart is like Egypt for you, what's happened to it?

It has melted from your triumphant morals.

خِيلان ذاكَ الخَدِّ مِنْ مُقْلَتِي

فَهِيَ لِذا في حُسْنِه حَائِرَهْ

The moles on that cheek are like my eyelashes,

So it is confused in its beauty because of them.
