How long must I be patient, oh departing one

Do you see an end to this parting?

I would not have been a composer, were it not for your mouth's poetry

And by describing your mouth, it is proven I am a poet

Surely, the excessive paleness betrayed the blush of his cheeks

And the onlooker was perplexed by the intense yellowness

So marvel at a cheek that stands by itself

Since I have no visible body, due to my illness

My heart naturally inclines toward you in love

So why does the cruel one who abandons it prevent it?

I know fire's nature is to provide light

And by your cheek, every bewildered heart is set aflame

Do not fear a fire sparked by your cheek

For the bright full moon keeps the stars company
