قَبَّلتُها مِن بَعيدٍ فَاِنثَنَت غَضَباً
وَقَد تَبَيَّنَ فيها التيهُ وَالخَجَلُ
I kissed her from afar, so she bent back in anger
It was clear in her the bewilderment and shyness
وَمَسَّحَت خَدَّها مِن قُبلَتي وَمَشَت
كَأَنَّها ثَمِلٌ أَو مَسَّها خَبَلُ
She wiped her cheek from my kiss and walked away
As if she was drunk or touched by madness
