  1. I see that God has distinguished the sons of Makhlad

    With the noblest achievement among the Arabs.

  2. The caliphate is hosted in their homes,

    And speaks with wonder of their nobility.

  3. Kings, with a tradition of hospitality,

    Passed down from noble lineage to noble lineage.

  4. You see the cup clear as sil-

    ver, and the wine floating like gold.
