My eyes were sleepless, for the solace of my eyes

Had come between the nights and me.

If time should grant us a meeting,

That would be my decree upon time and my faith.

    Nothing gladdens after something

Like a long awaited reunion after separation.

When bidding farewell she shook our hands

And the dye on her hand tinged our palms.

The most truthful of people is one who boasts

Of the sword of the Imam of the two swords.

The eye pauses at the radiant face

Beaming at us, and his two blessed hands.

    His forefathers led steeds, kings

Before the bridle of steeds by the Lord of Ru'ayn.
