1. يا أَبا الصَقرِ وَعدُكَ المَضمونُ

    وَالمَواعيدُ في الكِرامِ دُيونُ

    O father of the falcon, your assured promise

    And promises to the generous are debts

  2. رُفِعَت نَحوَكَ الأَكُفُّ وَمُدَّت

    لِإِنتِظارٍ قَصداً إِلَيكَ العُيونُ

    Hands are raised toward you and eyes

    Stretched out waiting for you intentionally

  3. وَاِبتَغَتكَ الآمالُ حَيثُ تَناهَت

    بَرَكاتُ الدُنيا وَعَزَّ الدينُ

    Hopes sought you wherever they reached

    The blessings of life and the glory of religion

  4. إِن أَرَدنا لَدَيكَ دُنيا فَدُنيا

    أَو نُحاوِلُ لَدَيكَ ديناً فَدينُ

    If we want a life from you it is a life

    Or if we strive for a religion from you it is a religion

  5. وَقَبيحٌ إِذا إِستَعَنتُكَ أَن أَب

    غي مُعيناً عَلى الَّذي أَستَعينُ

    It is ugly if when I seek your help, I

    Seek help against that which I seek help for

  6. وَمُقامي وَالحَولُ قَد مَرَّ نِصفٌ

    مِنهُ إِن لَم يَشِن فَلَيسَ يَزينُ

    My stance and the year have passed halfway

    If it doesn’t get worse then it doesn’t get better

  7. مَطلَبٌ مُظلِمٌ فَلا اللَيلُ يُجلى

    عَن نَجاحٍ وَلا الصَباحُ يَبينُ

    An unjust request, neither the night reveals

    Success nor the morning clarifies

  8. وَعَلَيكَ الضَمانُ وَالحُكمُ فينا

    إِن أَلَطَّ الغَريمُ أَدّى الضَمينُ

    And you are the guarantor and the judge over us

    If the debtor is unjust the guarantor pays

  9. حاجَتي سَهلَةٌ لَدَيكَ وَرَأيٌ

    إِن قَبَلتُ التَعذيرَ فيها أَفينُ

    My need is easy for you and an opinion

    If I accept the excuse for it I would be weak

  10. أَغِل شِعري غَلاءَهُ إِنَّ بِالدو

    نِ وَأَشباهِهِ يُباعُ الدونُ

    Make my poetry expensive as it is sold

    With the lowly and their likes for less

  11. وَاِبنُ عَبدِ العَزيزِ وَفرُكَ عَوَّل

    تَ عَلَيهِ وَكَنزُكَ المَخزونُ

    And the son of Abdul Aziz, your regiment relied

    On him and your hoarded treasure

  12. مِن بَني الشَلمَغانِ حَيثُ إِضمَحَلَّ ال

    شَكُّ في فَضلِهِ وَصَحَّ اليَقينُ

    From the Beni Shalmaghan tribe where no doubt remains

    In his virtue and certainty is established

  13. لَيسَ يَألوكَ طاعَةً فَالَّذي تَه

    وى لَدَيهِ مِنَ الأُمورِ يَكونُ

    They do not disobey your order so whatever you desire

    Is what happens

  14. إِن رَأى عِندَكَ إِعتِزامَةَ جِدٍّ

    لَم يُقَلِّل ما كَثَّرَ أَذكوتِكينُ

    If he sees your solemn determination

    He would not decrease what your two witnesses increased
