قُل لي إِذا قُمتَ عَلى أَربَعٍ

Tell me, when you stand on all fours,

Tell me, when you stand erect on all fours

offering greetings in that state,

Breathing life into that noble figure

وَقامَ مِن خَلفِكَ فَتحٌ فَما

وَقامَ مِن خَلفِكَ فَتحٌ فَما

يَنفَعُكَ الفَضلُ بنُ مَروانِ

يَنفَعُكَ الفَضلُ بنُ مَروانِ

and Fath stands behind you, then what

And behind you stands an opening that renders useless
