1. The earliest autumn showers visited us at dawn,

    Then they came at evening, bringing the following rain.

  2. And I see the rain never ceasing to pour,

    In a rain-soaked morning and at evening.

  3. So it watered the earth to its fill with its moisture;

    So give me my fill of the choicest wine.

  4. The splendor of bliss was there, morning and evening,

    Between al-Sabih Palace and al-Ja'fari,

  5. In the wondrous building and the welcoming abode,

    And the beautiful, splendid view,

  6. And gardens for which souls yearn,

    And are greeted with their freshly picked roses.

  7. A royal abode chosen for an imam

    Whose hand has secured the Prophet's inheritance.

  8. God has bestowed upon the populace, through him,

    The conduct of one virtuous, pure, and righteous.

  9. Thus it is favored with his abundant kindness

    Upon it, and with his well-approved rule.

  10. O imam of guidance, and O possessor of truth,

    And O son of al-Rashid and al-Mahdi,

  11. May your era, beloved among the people, endure,

    With lasting life and contented living.
