Speak plainly to us, O wide one:
Show us, O vast one,
are you disobedient or obedient?
Whether you are disobedient or compliant,
For the people have condemned what you have done;
For people have denied what you have reaped,
will you then return to the like of it?
So will you return to the like of it?
A widely circulating report about her reached me,
News of her came to me,
as dreadful as the widely circulating reports of you.
Rumors like those plentiful rumors of yours,
And I spoke to Wahb without holding back,
And I said to Wahb without any shame,
nor did a word of mine go to waste:
No word of mine went wasted,
O Wahb, why did she call upon the minister?
Wahb, why did you cry out bitterly,
Perhaps you made her spend the night hungry.
Perhaps you left her hungry,
So she came complaining of an oppressor
She came complaining of an oppressor,
to a just man whose ear was listening.
To a fair judge with a listening ear,
Or did she ask him to bleed her, then fear that
Did she stipulate him and then fear
he would think her wide?
That he might think her easy,
So she showed him her passion, strutting proudly,
So she showed him passionate love,
and let out before him a startling fart.
And showed him piercing coyness.
