By my father who's absent yet still near
I pour out my grief and my worries sincere

The doctor took my arm and made it bleed
Had my hopes been met, his hand I'd kiss indeed

The needle did pierce and make my arm swell
Performing in that moment deeds the heart can't quell
It drew out blood as though my weeping eyes
Had yellowed it with their pouring cries

How excellent the scent, if time would allow
My perfume at eve and balm on the morrow
