That the days should know his servant’s standing

in his esteem, and his place in his regard,

بشواهد الخلع التي يغدو بها

بشواهد الخلع التي يغدو بها

متطاولاً شرفاً على نظرائه

متطاولاً شرفاً على نظرائه

through the testimony of the robes of honor in which he goes forth,

towering in honor above his peers—

فمن العجاب حبس توقيع له

فمن العجاب حبس توقيع له

وموقع التوقيع من شفعائه

وموقع التوقيع من شفعائه

then it is a wonder that a decree for him is withheld,

though the decree’s signer is among his intercessors.
