And at a winepress I halted my mount,
With a press I crushed grapes
while the sun's rim had not yet set.
Before the sun had set
So I took its glass vessels, filled with wine,
I emptied its pitcher with delight
for some mines of gold.
Some minerals of gold
And tears were shed for the loss of the vine
It shed tears for the absence of vines
by the eyes of the grapes within it.
In it the eyes of grapes wept
And its valley's swelling flood surged
Its valley's torrent gushed
with liquid pouring down and spilling forth.
At a watering hole and pouring
And there the ruby of the juice
The wine's rubies in it
plays with the beloved's pearls.
Frolicking with dear pearls
So, how I marvel at its presser!
So wonder at its presser
And what good does my wonder do him?
And what astonishes me
And how can he live while he wades
And how can he live
in a sea of flame?
Settling in a sea of flames
