    هذا هو الرّجُلُ العاري من العارِ

    O you who ask about him when I come to praise him

    This is the man free of all shame

  2. كم من شُنوفٍ لِطافٍ من مَحاسنِه

    عُلّقْنَ منه على آذانِ سُمّار

    How many charming, gentle features of his

    Are hung on the ears of rumor-mongers

  3. لَقِيتُه فرأيتُ النّاسَ في رَجُلٍ

    والدَّهرَ في ساعةٍ والأرضَ في دار

    I met him and saw all people in one man

    And time in an hour and the land in a house
