قد تَولّى أبو الرَّجا

عَمَلاً كان حَرَّرَه

Abu al-Raja had undertaken

A task he had executed,

وابْنُ وَزّانِكمْ أَتى

بعدَ ما شَقَّ مَبْعَره

And your son Wazzan came

After he had split his muzzle.

فتَولَّى مَكانَهُ

فَحّةٌ منه مُنكَره

So Fahha took his place,

Whose actions were disavowed.

ثمّ لمّا تَنكَّروا

وجَرتْ منه مَشْوَره

Then when they disowned him

And he was consulted,

سكتَ النّاسُ عنْهما

فهما الزَّوْجُ والمَرَه

The people kept silent about them both-

The couple, wife and husband.
