1. لمّا تَراءتْ رايةُ الرّبيعِ

    وانهزَمَتْ عساكرُ الصَّقيعِ

    When the banner of spring appeared

    And the armies of winter were defeated

  2. فالماءُ في مُضاعَفِ الدُّروعِ

    والنُّورُ كالأسِنّةِ الشُّروع

    The water on the armors increased

    And the light became like the rising tongues

  3. قد هَزَّ من أغصانه ذَوابلا

    وسَلَّ من غُدرانهِ مَناصلا

    It shook the rain from its branches

    And the clouds unloaded their burdens

  4. وبَلّغتْ ريحُ الصَّبا رَسائلاً

    حينَ ثنَى العِطْفَ الشّتاءُ راحلا

    And the morning breeze conveyed messages

    When the compassion of winter departed

  5. ونُصِبَتْ منابرُ الأشجارِ

    وخَطبَتْ سَواجعُ الأطيارِ

    And the pulpits of trees were erected

    And the beds of birds preached

  6. واستَفْصحَتْ عِبارةُ الهِزارِ

    فهْو لمنشورِ الرَّبيعِ قاري

    And the expression of jest became eloquent

    It is a witness for the banner of spring

  7. وأقبلَ النَّيروزُ مثْلَ الوالي

    فارتَجَعَ الفضْلَ منَ اللَّيالي

    And Nawruz came like a governor

    So excellence took back from the nights

  8. وبَشّر النّاقصَ بالكمالِ

    فعادتِ الدُّنيا إلى اعْتِدال

    And gave good news of perfection to the deficient

    So the world returned to moderation

  9. والدِّينُ والشّمسُ لسَعْدٍ مُؤْتنَفْ

    كُلٌّ به اللهُ انتهَى إلى شَرَفْ

    And religion and the sun belonged to Sa‘d revived

    Each, through which God attained glory

  10. فأصبحَ العَدْلُ مُقيماً واعتكَفْ

    وودَّعَ الجَورُ ذَميماً وانْصَرْف

    So justice resided and seclusion was observed

    And injustice said farewell, condemned, and turned away

  11. بالشّرَفَيْنِ استَسعدَ الشّمْسانِ

    شَمسُ الضُّحى وغُرّةُ السُّلطانِ

    The two glories made the two suns fortunate

    The sun of morning and the new moon of the sultan

  12. في أسعَدِ الأيامِ والأزمانِ

    مُبشِّراً بالأمْنِ والأمانِ

    In the happiest of days and times

    Giving good news of security and safety

  13. فاعتدَلَ الأنامُ والأيّامُ

    وأَمِنَ الميسمُ والمُسامُ

    So the people and days became balanced

    And the marked and unmarked were safe

  14. مُذْ طلَعا ونظَر الأنامُ

    لم يَبقَ لا ظُلْمٌ ولا ظَلامُ

    Since they rose and people saw

    No more injustice or darkness remained

  15. قد أصبحَتْ قَوسُ الزّمانِ سهْما

    وقد رمَى الأرضَ به فأصْمَى

    The bow of time has become an arrow

    And it shot the earth so it pierced

  16. فالكتْفُ منها بالشَّقيقِ تَدْمَى

    والرُّعْبُ أضحَى للشِّتاءِ هَزْما

    The shoulder from it bleeds with berries

    And terror has become a defeat for winter

  17. ابيضَّ قبلَ الإخضرارِ الفَنَنُ

    فشابَ من قَبلِ الشَّبابِ الغُصُنُ

    It whitened before the greening, the branches

    So the branch became youthful before youth

  18. واسوَدَّ من بَعْدِ البياضِ القُنَنُ

    فشَبَّ من بَعدِ المَشيبِ الزَّمَنُ

    It blackened after whiteness, the stems

    So time became old after old age

  19. قد غَنِيَ الوعدُ عنِ التّقاضي

    وأعرضَ الغِيدُ عنِ الإعْراضِ

    The promise made pleading unnecessary

    And the cloud turned away from turning away

  20. وخرجَتْ بالحَدَقِ المِراضِ

    تُواجِهُ الرّياضَ بالرّياضِ

    And laughters came out to the gardens

    Meeting the gardens with gardens

  21. قد سَئمَتْ بُيوتَها النُّفوسُ

    وأصبَحَتْ كأنّها حُبوسُ

    The flowers are an eye for the garden that winks

    It hugs for a while and then it opens

  22. وأسلمَ المُنَمِّسَ التَّنْميسُ

    وصاحَ في جُنودِهِ إبليسُ

    It sleeps with it sleepy and wakes up weeping

    But it overflows with tears

  23. أَبَحْتُ للنّاسِ دمَ الزِّقاقِ

    في حيثُ لاقَوها منَ الآفاقِ

    The garden is in a sun that makes it dark at night

    And the clouds are near to it, prowling

  24. وجَرَّها كجُثثِ المُرّاقِ

    وشُربَها بكأسِها الدِّهاقِ

    So whenever the slumber turns its eye

    It smiles at it with sprinkling

  25. إلى الجنانِ عجَباً دَعاكمُ

    مَن كان منها مُخرِجاً أَباكمُ

    Vigor and cloud shared in the gardens

    Cutting the day with laughter and crying

  26. يَجعلُها كَفّارةَ لِذاكمُ

    فأصْحِروا لتُبصروا مأْواكمُ

    When the south wind came, it cried in it

    Until when it returned north, it laughed

  27. فالأرضُ من كفِّ الزَّمانِ حاليهْ

    كجنّةٍ للنّاظرينَ عاليهْ

    The atmosphere became filled with terror and alarm

    And the earth threw its jewels at it

  28. من كلِّ ساقٍ عند كلِّ ساقيهْ

    يَجعلُ من صافٍ مِزاجَ صافيهْ

    So the branch feared its overpowering troops

    Like a finger gesturing apotropaically

  29. والشّمسُ في البُرجِ الّذي يَشْوونَهُ

    إذا غدَوْا شَرباً ويأكلونَهُ

    Help the wind and do not care

    And do not make people aware of it in your mind

  30. وفيهمُ قومٌ يُشاكِلونَهُ

    طُولَ الزّمانِ ويُناطِحونهُ

    Or stealthily in an empty place

    Where the right hand does not know the left

  31. بحَمَلٍ قد باعَتِ الشّمسُ الأسدْ

    وكان هذا عندنا الرأيَ الأسَدْ

    Rather, He who forgives it knows

    If you return regretfully seeking His forgiveness

  32. فاعتاضَ طَبْعاً في الزّمانِ واستجَد

    من غضَبٍ بشَهْوةٍ كُلُّ أَحَدْ

    Even if you repeated it your whole life

    There is no sin too great for God’s pardon

  33. حتّى غدا بعضُ بني الأشْكالِ

    يَقولُ قولاً ظاهرَ الإشْكالِ

    I do not see consuming myself without cause

    In any doctrine as permissible

  34. لكنّه من كثرةِ البَلْبالِ

    قد قال ما قالَ ولم يُبالِ

    I am a man, whether you are amazed or not

    Worry eats me if I do not drink

  35. كم أُوكِفُ الظَّهْرَ بطَيْلَسانِ

    ويُشبِهُ العِدْلَيْنِ لي كُمّانِ

    An outstanding man who gathered all praise

    And none found a peer or equal for him

  36. مُستَبْضِعاً عند بني الزَّمانِ

    وِقْرَ نِفاقٍ ثِقْلُهُ أَعيْاني

    How many unique ones do you see in the world

    As for the world, it has only one unique one

  37. هل لك في حَمراءَ مثلِ الحُصِّ

    ياقوتةٍ قد شُربَتْ برُخْصِ

    Most wretched, who cannot but do good

    And a coward who fears to show cowardice

  38. مَجلوبةٍ من مَعْدِنٍ في القُفْصِ

    تلَوحُ في الإصبعِ مثْلَ الفَصِّ

    And a benefactor who attains all desires

    The lack of a young man is his path to riches

  39. يَسْعَى بها عليكَ يافِشِيُّ

    وطَرفُه السّاحِرُ بابليُّ

    When he sees annihilating his confidant

    You would think it is money he hoards from him

  40. وثَغرُه ككأْسهِ رَويُّ

    ووَرْدُه كخدِّه جَنيُّ

    He buys annihilation from his confidant

    Taking it from him for what he gives him

  41. أَغْيَدُ يومُ وَصْلِه تأريخُ

    لصُدْغِه من نِقْسِه تَضْميخُ

    His asking associate in blessings

    A judge of wonders says about his traits

  42. والجَمرُ في خدَّيه لا يَبوخُ

    كما يَحِلُّ العَقْربَ المَرِّيخُ

    May God help him in his generosity

    In an era that encompasses the greatness of his concern

  43. يَضْحَكُ من تَشْبيبِ عاشِقيهِ

    عن لُؤلُؤٍ لِنَظِمهم شَبيهِ

    Of generous character, his traits are his garden

    A truth worthy of praise in reality

  44. فلا يزالُ مُظهِراً للتّيهِ

    بِدُرِّ فيهِ أَو بِدُرِّ فيهِ

    Flowing from him constantly on his path

    Is the generosity of one with good traits

  45. لفُرَصِ اللَّذّاتِ كن مُنتهزاً

    ولا تَبتْ من عاذل مُحتَرِزا

    Who hoards money into necks (of slaves)

    And stores praise for successors

  46. فالدَّهرُ مِخلافٌ فخُذْ ما أنْجَزا

    فَرُبّما طلبْتَه فأعْوَزا

    Hands that calculate precisely

    Remain while their owners are long gone

  47. فقد تَغنَّى الطَّيرُ في الشُّروقِ

    والرّيحُ دارتْ دورةَ الرَّحيقِ

    Say to the aider of the debt-ridden eminent man

    And honesty is the most magnificent jewelry of speech

  48. فظَلَّ كلُّ غُصُنٍ وَريقِ

    للسُّكْرِ في رَقْصٍ وفي تَصْفيقِ

    Today you tied firm the ropes of hopes

    You were most just, appraiser of men

  49. والزَّهْرُ للرَّوضةِ عَيْنٌ تُلْمَحُ

    يَضُمُّها طَوراً وطَوراً يَفْتَحُ

    O king whom mercy makes angelic rule

    You have ruled the zeniths of highness so you ruled

  50. تُمسي بها قَريرةً وتُصِبحُ

    لكنّها منَ الدُّموعِ تَطفَحُ

    Not the wealthy with intertwined stars

    But your oppression on the celestial sphere

  51. والرَّوضُ في شَمْسٍ سَناها يُعْشى

    والسُّحْبُ بالقُرْبِ لها تَمَشِّ

    With a sharp sword your hands

    What the kings of earth have is not like that

  52. فكلّما أَدارَ عَيْنَ المَغْشى

    عليه جادَتْ وَجْهَه برَشِّ

    And it is what God made endure for you

    The best of what your fathers inherited

  53. صَحْوٌ وغَيمٌ في الرّياضِ اشْتَركا

    يُقَطِّعانِ اليومَ ضَحْكاً وبُكا

    Consider the witness among its opinions

    And by it gauge the absent among its views

  54. إذا الجَنوبُ أقبلتْ فيه بكَى

    حتّى إذا عادَتْ شَمالاً ضَحِكا

    It is a vizier with no view higher than yours

    An opinion equal to your approval in your contentment

  55. صار الأضا في حَلَقٍ وخُوَذِ

    ورَمتِ الأرضُ لها بالفِلَذِ

    If two were named Anushirvan

    And described with justice and beneficence

  56. فالغُصنُ خَوفَ جُندِها المُستَحوذِ

    كإصبَعٍ تُشيرُ بالتَّعَوُّذ

    Then the night has two dawns

    But the truthful among them is the second

  57. ساعِدْ على الرّاحِ ولا تُبالِ

    والنّاسَ لا تُخْطِرهُمُ بِبالِ

    Most just is the Master and he—we know—

    Does injustice to his money over the servants

  58. أوِ اسْتِراقاً في مكانٍ خالٍ

    لا تَعلمُ اليَمينُ بالشَّمالِ

    And merciful when the sinner surrenders

    To himself from his generosity he has no mercy

  59. وإنّما يَعلَمُه مَن يَغْفِرُهْ

    إذا رجَعْتَ نادماً تَستغفِرُهُ

    His flowing generosity tired out the clouds

    And surpassed the acuity of his view, swords

  60. ولو بَقِيتَ عُمُراً تُكَرِّرُهْ

    ما عندَ عفْوِ اللهِ ذَنْبٌ يُكْبِرُهْ

    And emulated great masterpieces

    So he pleased the nation and the Imam

  61. لستُ أرَى مُحَلَّلاً في مَذْهَبِ

    إهْلاكيَ النَّفْسَ بغَيْرِ مُوجِبِ

    He has an era where all of it is spring

    And an ambition whose rising is awe-inspiring

  62. أنا امْرؤٌ عَجِبتَ أو لم تَعْجَبِ

    يَأكلُني الهَمُّ إذا لم أَشْرَبِ

    So people in his gardens are pacified

    And time is an obedient, listening slave

  63. فَردٌ وفيه جُمِعَ المَحامدُ

    فلم يَجِدْ لَه نَظيراً واجِدُ

    The sun of his face rains and rises

    His face does not become clouded and lightning

  64. كم في الورَى من واحدٍ تُشاهِدُ

    أَمَّا الورَى في واحدٍ فواحِدُ

    The gushing sea of his streams

    Engulfs description and does not drown

  65. أَرْوعُ لا يُحسِنُ ألاّ يُحْسِنا

    ومُقْدِمٌ يَجُبنُ عن أنْ يَجْبُنا

    A sword whose realm guards its edges

    And religion brandished alarm on its sides

  66. ومُنعِمٌ يُنيلُ غاياتِ المُنَى

    فَقْرُ الفتَى إليه مِيعادُ الغِنَى

    The right hand moves it to the caliphate

    Until it eliminates those who intended opposition

  67. إذا رأى إعدامَ مُعتَفيه

    حَسِبْتَه للمالِ إذ يُقْنيهِ

    Unfailing, and no armor sheds its scabbard

    The sultan of the world made it ready for victory

  68. من مُعْتَفيهِ الُعدمَ يَشَتْريهِ

    يَأخذُه منه بما يُعطيهِ

    While he is needless to attend at its limit

    So it defeats the army with a name alone

  69. سائلُه شَريكُه في نعْمَتِهْ

    يَقولُ قاضي عَجَبٍ من شِيمَتِهْ

    He has a hand whereby hands are dwarfed

    Next to it the sea is diminished while it is magnified

  70. أعانَه اللهُ على مَكْرُمتِهْ

    بزمنٍ يَسَعُ عُظْمَ هِمَّتِهْ

    Not seven from one are composed

    Except that its regions and the pen are for it

  71. ذو كَرمٍ أخلاقُهُ حَديقَهْ

    حَقيقةٌ بالحَمْدِ في الحَقيقَهْ

    A spear whose innate nature became its blades

    And a steed whose range became its field

  72. يَجْري من الجودِ على طَريقَهْ

    خَليقةٍ بَمْدح ذي الخَليقَهْ

    If its reins are not held back from scope

    Its reins are between its tusks

  73. مَن يَكْنِزُ الأموالَ في الرِّقاب

    ويَذْخَرُ الثّناءَ للأعْقابِ

    For its horses in the rock are ringing marks

    For them the traces of nails are drops

  74. أيادياً مُعييَةَ الحُسّابِ

    تَبقَى ومُوليها على الأحقاب

    And the parchment from its symbols without hyperbole

    Clipping the enemy’s death from what they clip

  75. قُلْ لمُغيثِ الدّينِ ذي المَعالي

    والصِّدْقُ أبهَى حلْيةِ المَقالِ

    Glory lasting with the nights growing

    Comes back to the originator from it the returnee

  76. اليومَ أوثَقتَ عُرا الآمالِ

    أجدْتَ يا مُنتقِدَ الرِّجالِ

    Conjoined—so let the envious await it

    As it is only the beginning of one and single

  77. يا ملكاً من رأفة يَحكى مَلَكْ

    مُلّكَ غاياتِ العَلاء فَملَكْ

    Before making him rule its regions

    The Lord of the world reign in his heart

  78. ليس الثُّريّا من نجومٍ تَشْتَبكْ

    بل وَطأةٌ منكَ على ظَهْرِ الفَلَك

    As his heart clothed it in its blackness

    Before clothing it in his gowns

  79. بَلَّتْ بسيفٍ صارمٍ يَداكا

    ما لملوكِ الأرضِ مثْلُ ذاكا

    His ennoblement was slower than his courtesy

    And if we grew impatient from awaiting him

  80. وهْو أدام اللهُ ما آتاكا

    أنْفَسُ ما وَرِثْتَه أباكا

    Informing that the greatness of his position

    Rises above what rises with it

  81. اُنظُرْ إلى الشّاهدِ من رُوائهِ

    وقِسْ به الغائبَ من آرائهِ

    But there was no haste to ennoble

    Except from shyness in hesitation

  82. فهْو وزيرٌ ليس فوقَ رائهِ

    رَأْىٌ سوى رأيكِ في ارْتضائهِ

    How can there be—when the equitable is absent—

    Ennoblement of a master, which itself is nobility

  83. إنْ سمّىَ اثْنانِ بِنُوشَروانِ

    ووُصِفا بالعَدْلِ والإحسانِ

    If ennoblement reached in exaggeration

    The counted saying of an ennobler

  84. فاللّيلُ مازال له فَجْرانِ

    وإنّما الصّادِقُ فيه الثّاني

    Each fulfilling the utmost hopes

    It would be beneath his rare worth

  85. أعْدَلُ مَولىً وهْو فيما نَعْلَمُ

    لِمالهِ دونَ العبادِ يظْلِمُ

    It sufficed what his Creator clothed him with

    Of the garb of glory and exaltation that sufficed him

  86. وراحِمٌ إذا اسْتقالَ المُجْرِمُ

    لنَفْسِه من جودهِ لا يَرحَمُ

    If His approval had not included him

    The sultan of God’s land, the Shah of Shahs

  87. أعيَتْ رُكامُ جودهِ الغَماما

    وفاق ماضي رأيهِ الحُساما

    O towering to the sky in loftiness

    Stepper on the crescent in highness

  88. وتابعَ الصَّنائعَ الجِساما

    فأرضَتِ الأُمّةَ والإماما

    So what is the direction of the enemy’s cynosure

    Have you made your praiser safe from going too far?

  89. له زَمانٌ كُلُّه ربيعُ

    وهِمّةٌ جَنابُها مَريعُ

    What the minds molded about you

    Is beneath the bracelet and crown

  90. فالنّاسُ في رياضِها رُتوعُ

    والدَّهرُ عَبدٌ سامعٌ مُطيعُ

    So where, O poetry, are your prime stallions?

    Now is the time to say, so let them speak

  91. تُمطِرُ شَمسُ وَجههِ وتُشرِقُ

    ولا يَغيمُ وَجهُه ويَبرُقُ

    How I withhold the necklaces from aspiring

    Beneath surpassing them in aspiring

  92. وبَحرُ جَدواه الّذي يُدَفَّقُ

    يَستغرِقُ الوَصفَ وليس يُغْرِقُ

    What I said and what you did remaining

    Both are necklaces of necks

  93. سَيفٌ به المُلكُ حمى أطرافَهْ

    والدِّينُ هَزَّ طَرَباً أعطافَهْ

    I presented them to reason like bangles

    I stripped them while the mind's limb is weakness

  94. تَهُزُّهُ اليَمينُ للخِلافَهْ

    حتّى يُبيدَ مَن نَوى خِلافَهْ

    Condescending from me without jest

    Distinct superiority in scope to my superiority

  95. ماضٍ وما تَنفكّ دِرْعٌ غِمْدَهْ

    للنّصْرِ سلطانُ الوَرى أعَدَّهْ

    Far from my nature being seen in it a stamp

    Especially after white hair and baldness

  96. وهْو غَنِيٌّ أن يَشيمَ حَدَّهْ

    فيَهزِمُ الجيشَ له اسْمٌ وَحْدَهْ

    But earnestness brings what shines forth

    Without blemish on a cheek with no innovations

  97. له يدٌ منها الأيادي تَسْجَمُ

    يَصغَرُ عنها البَحْرُ وهْيَ تعظُمُ

    No blame in what the rouser said

    Exciting the praiser of kings is more striking

  98. ما سَبعةٌ من واحدٍ تَنتظِمُ

    إلاّ الأقاليمُ له والقَلَمُ

    Is not Hassaan who cannot be blamed

    For his saying—it is delicious—pure

  99. رُمحٌ غدا من نِقْسِهِ سِنانُهُ

    وفَرَسٌ في طِرْسِه مَيْدانُهُ

    My Master, your honoring me was a beginning

    Incumbent for all to emulate you

  100. ما إنْ يُرَدُّ عن مَدىً عِنانُهُ

    فإنّما عِنانُه بَنانُهُ

    And whoever refused that went astray

    So the shadow mimics its straightening

  101. لخيلهِ في الصّخْرِ نوناتٌ تُخَطْ

    لَهنَّ آثارُ المَساميرِ نُقَطْ

    For the promised stroke I came expecting

    But an angry chamberlain hindered me

  102. والرُّقْشُ من أقلامهِ بلا شَطَطْ

    تَقتَصُّ من هامِ العدا بما تُقَطْ

    And how can one whose place is brought near

    Be veiled behind the veil of a heart?

  103. عِزُّ على مَرِّ اللّيالي زائدٌ

    يُربي على البادئ منه العائِدُ

    Your brilliant state in its rise

    Is like the sun or more careful in its making

  104. مُتّصلٌ فلْيرتَقِبْهُ الحاسِدُ

    فإنّما مَبدَأُ أَلْفٍ واحِدُ

    While the sun privileges people from its rays

    With a screen composed from its nature

  105. مِن قَبْلِ أنْ مَلّكَهُ بِلادَهُ

    مَلّكهُ مَولَى الوَرى فُؤادَهُ

    O honor of the debt-ridden eminent religion

    You were generous to hearing

  106. كما كَساهُ قَلْبُه سَوادهَُ

    من قَبل أن يَكْسُوَهُ أبْرادَهُ

    And to intimacy and despair you were forever called

    May God’s preservation from it fortify you

  107. تَشْريفُه أبطأُ مِن تَأَدُّبِهْ

    وإنْ ضَجِرْنا نحنُ مِنْ تَرَقُّبِهْ

    From an towering palm-tree of glory spreading branches

    A house of exaltation with firm pillars

  108. مُخَبِّر أنّ عَظيمَ مَنْصِبِهْ

    يَجِلُّ عنه فَوقَ ما يَجِلُّ بهْ

    Lasting—and may its elevated place last—

    Forever magnifying their ascent its sultanate

  109. بل لم يكن من عَجَلِ المُشَرِّفِ

    إلاّ منَ الخَجْلةِ في تَوقُّفِ

    Live happily with lasting bliss and celebration

    Remaining for us in the shade of agreeable living

  110. كيف يكونُ عندَ فَقْدِ المُنْصِفِ

    تَشريفُ مَولىً هو نَفْسُ الشّرَفِ

    Straightening with view all bent

    And opening with effort all confusing

  111. لو بلَغ التّشريفُ في التّضعيفِ

    مَعدودَ قَولِ قائلٍ تَشْريفي

    God guaranteed—and He does not break oaths—

    You will remain as long as time extends

  112. كُلٌّ على أقصَى الأماني يُوفي

    لكان دونَ قدْرِه المُنيفِ

    Is it not in His book, so let them search:

    “And the one who benefits, it is he who remains”

  113. كَفاهُ ما خالِقُه كَساهُ

    من ثَوبِ مَجْدٍ وعُلاً كفَّاه

    O you who predecessors shade

    With no successor to replace you

  114. لو لم يكنْ ضمَّنَه رِضاهُ

    سُلطانُ أَرضِ اللهِ شاهَنْشاهُ

    You remained over the eras a sword attained

    Vanquishing and enriching— discontent and approval with you

  115. يا فارعَ السّماء بالسُّمُوِّ

    مُنْتعِلَ الهلالِ في العُلُوِّ

    Of state over the Guardian always extravagant

    Its shadows and brands for the enemy

  116. فما مَحلُّ مَفْرقِ العَدُوِّ

    أمنْتَ مُدّاحَك من غُلُوِّ

    Lasting—its last unattainable

    As if your lifespan is an exhausted limit

  117. عليكَ مِمّا صاغتِ العقولُ

    ما دونه السِّوارُ والإكليلُ

  118. فأينَ يا شِعْرُ لكَ الفُحولُ

    هذا أَوانُ القَولِ فَلْيَقولوا

  119. كم أَحبِسُ العُقودَ في الحقاقِ

    دونَ تَراقيها إلى التَّراقي

  120. ما قُلتُه وما فَعلْتَ باق

    كلاهما قلائدُ الأعناقِ

  121. دونكَها خَوالعاً للعُقْل

    أَعَرْتُها وهنّ ذَوْبُ العَقْلِ

  122. تَهازُلاً منّي بغَيْرِ هَزْلِ

    فَضْلَ اتّساعٍ في مَجالِ فَضْلي

  123. حاش لطَبْعي أَن يُرَى فيه طَبَعْ

    لا سِيّما من بعدِ شَيْبٍ وصَلَعْ

  124. لكنَّ ما يأتي به الجِدُّ لُمَعْ

    وليس في خالٍ على خَدٍّ بِدَعْ

  125. لا عيبَ فيما قاله مُشَبِّبُ

    تَشبيبُ مُدّاح الملوكِ أَضْرُبُ

  126. أَليس حَسّانُ ولا يُؤَنَّب

    من قَوله فهْو حَرامٌ طَيِّبُ

  127. مَولايَ إكرامُك لي ابْتداءَ

    أَوجبَ من كلٍّ بكَ اقْتِداءَ

  128. ومَن أَبَى ذاك فقد أَساءَ

    فالظِّلُّ يَحكي عُودَه اسْتِواءَ

  129. للمَوعِدِ المَضْروبِ جئْتُ أَرقُبُ

    فحالَ دوني حاجِبٌ مُقطِّبُ

  130. ومَن يكن مكانُه المُقَرَّبُ

    خلْفَ حجابِ القلبِ كيف يُحْجَبُ

  131. دَولتُك الغَرّاءُ في ارتفاعِها

    كالشّمسِ أَو أَشملَ باصطِناعها

  132. والشّمسُ تُحظي النّاسَ من شُعاعها

    بحاجبٍ قد صيغَ من طِباعها

  133. يا شرفَ الدّينِ كرُمْتَ سَمْعا

    وللنّدى واليأسِ دُمتَ تُدْعَى

  134. أَدامَ حِفْظُ اللهِ عنك الدَّفْعا

    مُظاهراً منه عليكَ دِرْعا

  135. من دَوْحِ مَجْدٍ باسقٍ أَغصانُهُ

    بَيتُ عُلاً ثابتةٌ أَركانُهُ

  136. داموا ودام عالياً مَكانُهُ

    مُضاعِفاً إقبالَهمْ سُلطانُهُ

  137. نَورِزْ بسَعْدٍ دائماً ومَهْرِج

    وابْقَ لنا في ظِلِّ عَيْشٍ سَجْسَج

  138. مُقوِّماً بالرّأيِ كلَّ أَعْوَج

    وفاتحاً بالجَدِّ كُلَّ مُرْتَجِ

  139. قد ضَمِنَ اللهُ وليس يَنكُثُ

    أنّك ما امتدَّ الزّمانُ تَلبَثُ

  140. أَليس في كتابهِ فَلْيبْحَثوا

    أَنَّ الّذي يَنفَعُ فهْوَ يَمْكُثُ

  141. يا مَنْ يَظَلُّ خلَفاً عمّنْ مضَى

    وليس عنه خَلَفٌ فلا انْقَضى

  142. دُمتَ على الأيّامِ سَيفاً مُنتضَى

    يُفْني ويُغْني السُّخْطُ منكَ والرِّضا

  143. ذا دولةٍ على الوَليِّ تُسبَغُ

    ظِلالُها وللعدوِّ تَدْمَغُ

  144. دائمةٍ آخِرُها لا يُبلَغُ

    كأنّما عُمرُكَ طَوْقٌ مُفْرَغُ
