A customary share of victory and support,

And a rank in loftiness and glory that ever rises,

And a blessing abiding in honor’s firm abode,

And a blazing star in the sky of pride,

And Amīn al-Dawla’s realm, whose days resemble one another—

In all their adornments, they are peers.

Each man congratulates his companion on the day of Eid,

For their Eids, through the ages, are isolated occasions.

But I single out no day on which to congratulate him:

All his days are Eids for the people.
