لا تَستَشِرني في مُحالٍ ظاهِرٍ

إنّ المُحالَ مَضِلّةُ الآراءِ

Do not consult me regarding the impossible, which is apparent

For the impossible misleads opinions

إنّ المُشاوِرَ في المُحالِ مِثالُه

كُمطالعِ المِرآةِ في الظّلْماء

Indeed, consulting regarding the impossible is like

Looking in a mirror in the darkness
