The sail is gone, and the sailor has lost his way—
in the depths of a night that knows no dawn.
Of my ship, not a single piece remains
that decay and the winds have not torn apart.
The clouds pour down, and the thunder is all thunderbolts;
lightning is a deadly, murderous sword.
I have turned my face toward Your door in hope,
when all doors are shut, O Opener.
