قيلَ عاشَت بِمَوتِهِ وَاِرثوهُ

حَيث كانوا مِن فُقرِهم في اِكتِئاب

They said she lived on after his death, his heirs,

As they remained sunk in dejection and poverty.

قُلت لا بدع قَد سَمعنا قَديماً

يَوم مَوت الحَمار عيد الكِلاب
