My love, protected by the king beneath his domes
His veil melts my soul, so heavy it engulfs
His words swirl fancies round my hearing
That my thoughts grow drunk on his rhythms
He makes the earth's dust into musk and amber
If I kiss his clothes in thanks for his grace
With a glance, he speaks, taking my heart
My surrender outpaced by his brisk retort
