يَستَصحب القَوس أَخو همة

لِعَزمِهِ تَذعن أَقرانهُ

The bow accompanies a brother of resolve

His determination makes his peers submit

سِهامُهُ يَجمَعُها شادِنٌ

بِمِثلِها تُرشق أَجفانَهُ

His arrows are gathered by a quiver

With their like his eyelids are shot

أَو رَكب الطَرف بِها مُهجَتي

مَنزِلَهُ الرَحب وَمَيدانَهُ
