1. وَما زالَ يَنوي الغَدرَ والنَّكثَ راكِباً

    لِعَمياءَ حَتَّى استَكَّ مِنهُ المَسامِعُ

    He still intends betrayal and breaking pacts, riding

    The blind until the ears are deafened.

  2. وَحَتّى أُبِيدَ الجَمعُ مِنهُ فَأَصبَحوا

    كَبَعضِ الأُلى كانَت تُصيبُ القَوارِعُ

    Until the group is destroyed by him and so they became

    Like some oxen that met their fate.

  3. فَأَضحَوا بِنَهرَي بابِلٍ ورُؤوسُهُم

    تَخُبُّ بِها فيما هُناكَ الخَوامِعُ

    So their heads in the rivers of Babylon do sink

    While here still stand the mosques.
