تَجافَيتُ عَن عِزٍّ يُنالُ بِذِلَّةٍ

وَرَوَّحتِ نَفسي حينَ عوَّدتُها الياسا

I shunned honor attained through humiliation

And solaced my soul when I made it despair

وَلي هِمَّةٌ تَستَصغِرُ الدَّهرَ وَالوَرى

فَأَلئِم بِهِ دَهراً وَأَخسِر بِهِم ناسا

And I have an ambition belittling fate and the world

So I blame fate for it and make people lose through it
