With braves aglow and banners held aloft
Nobility adorns his stately brow
Bearing honor's sword clutched in his hand
Fine wrought blades that lifeblood freely draw
His land knows peace, horizons now serene
Wherever springtime makes its verdant bow
To him I cried, a hind long-suffering
Lest the herd be savaged by its foe
Though does their fawns before him lay
No trembling dread their calm betray
