وَرَوْضٍ زُرْتُهُ وَالأُّفْقُ يُصْحِي
أَحايِيناً وَآوِنَةً يَغيمُ
In a garden I strolled as the horizon awoke
As if drops from the valley streams
كَأَنَّ القَطْرَ مِنْ سَبَلِ الغَوادي
عَلى زَهَراتِهِ الدُّرُّ النَّظيمُ
Were falling on blossoms, pearls neatly strung
The sky unfurled softly for this
يَلينُ لَهُ أَدِيمُ الجَوِّ حَتّى
يَصِحَّ بِهِ وَيَعْتَلُّ النَّسيمُ
Rousing the breeze, making it swell and sigh
