    غيث بل تفضل سحبه

    A hand that makes us feel shameful rain

    Rather, you give freely flowing clouds

  4. ثرة في يبس العا

    م فما تبرح رطبه

    Abundant in the barrenness of the times thus never leaving moist

    And you have views that have become

  5. ولك الآراء أضحت

    بأمور الملك طبه

    In royal matters, a remedy

    The firm and mighty position

  6. والمقام الثبت والعز

    مه مثل العضب عضبه

    Like resolute, firm mountains

    O generous one, easy to attain

  7. يا جوادا سهل النا

    ئل والأزمة صعبه

    And the crisis is difficult

    The sword reddens and the guest feels warmth

  8. يخضب السيف ويقري الض

    ضيف والشّهباء جدبه

    And the gray-haired one is barren

    You are the one hoped for and feared

  9. أنت من يرجى ويخشى

    فمع الرغبة رهبه

    So with yearning comes awe

    Best wishes, O narrowness of the graves

  10. حبذا يا ضيق العذ

    رباع لك رحبه

    Yours is spaciousness

    The delegation is a relief

  11. الوفد رواء

    سرية من بعد سرية

    One secret after another

    You have an illuminated face

  12. لك وجه مستنير

    كضياء الصبح نقبه

    Like the radiance of dawn, its aperture

    And a hand that has made

  13. ويدا صار لها أح

    سانها المألوف دربه

    Its veins familiar paths

    It is with a touch, demolition

  14. هي باللثم حطيم

    مدة العام وكعبه

    Of the hardships of the year and its sufferings

    O morning and eloquent one

  15. يا صبيحا وفصيحا

    صبحتي خطب وخطبه

    You have become the sought and the seeking

    I have hoped for sweetness from you

  16. رجحت منك حلوم

    خففت قدس وهنبه

    And lightened sanctity and bestowal

    O grantor of the barefoot and close

  17. يا وهوب الأجرد المق

    رب والجب داء شطبه

    And the affliction is a healed wound

    O truly generous one I have

  18. يا رغيب الجود حقا

    لي في مدحك رغبه

    In praising you, a yearning

    Live long, how much you have gladdened the confused

  19. عش فكم فرحت مهمر

    ما وكم فرجت كربه

    And how much distress you have relieved

    And when the baseness of vileness

  20. وإذا جفن الردى الرا

    قد في حرب تنّبه

    Awake in war, be aware

    You have sacrificed your whites for the protection

  21. نحرت بيضك للذم

    ربه نحرا ولَبَّه

    A ritual sacrifice and correction

    Lord, purify the bitterness of

  22. رب عاف كدر مش

    ربه صفّأت شربه

    A polluted drink, refine its draft

    The hunted refugee

  23. وطريد مستجير

    خائف آمنت سربه

    You have secured his flock

    God's gift and my loyalty

  24. هبة الله ولائي

    لك عند الله قربه

    To you is nearness to God

    In every heart that

  25. لك في كل فؤاد

    ذا نعماك محبه

    Knows your blessings, affection

    There is no one in the hearts of your praisers

  26. ليس في قلب مداجي

    ك من الإيمان حبه

    Who loves faith more than you

    O generous one, you are moved

  27. إن من يجحد معرو

    فك ما يعرف ربه

    By hearing praise, elation

    Continue thus, leaving behind

  28. يا جوادا تعتريه

    من سماع الحمد طربه

    Sweet as honey, gentle trails

    Extravagant generosity and a grantor

  29. دم كذا خل خلال

    حلوة كالشهد عذبه

    Of what the blowing winds have blown

  30. مسرف الجود وهوبا

    ما سرت ريح مهبه
