عني بنصحك أني غير منتصح
كم بين مستتر منا ومفتضحِ

هلا عذلت وقلبي غير منجذب
إلى الغرام وعذري غير متضحِ
Why didn't you excuse me when my heart is not attracted
To passion and my excuse is not clear
ما أقرب الشوق من قلبي إذا بعد
ت دار الحبيب وأمسى جد منتزم
How close is longing to my heart when you are far
The home of the beloved and it became very depressed
سقيت با أثلات السفح من أضم
بوابل من ملث الودتي منسفحِ
I watered the slopes of Al-Athaat with
Downpours of sincere affection overflowing
وكان يغنيك عنه دمع متكئب
في بارق من زناد الوجد منقدح
And your flowing teardrop would have sufficed
In a lightning bolt of kindled passion
وقهوة كشعاع الشمس مشرقة
باكرتها وبشير الصبح لم يلمحِ
And coffee like the rays of the rising sun
That began early while the morning has not appeared
من كف منخزل الأعطاف معتدل
حلو الشمائل مخلوقث من الملح
From the palm of a gentle-wristed one
Sweet of traits, created from salt
لنا إذا دارت الصهباء من فمه
ريق يعطر ما في الدين والقدحِ
For us, when the blond turned from his mouth
A scented saliva that perfumes religion and the wine-skin
يهش من عزلي فيه فيطربه
كما يهش جمال الملك للمدح
It rejoices from my isolation in him and makes him joyful
As the beauty of the king rejoices for praise
المستضاء به في كل داجية
يلوح فيها بياض الجود كالشبحِ
Illuminated by it in every dark night
The whiteness of generosity appears in it like an apparition
يسمو بوجه إلى القصاد منطلق
يندي وصدر إلى الوفاد منشرحِ
He rises with a face set towards chastity
He calls and a chest expanded with loyalty
أخذت غاية أمالي بمغتبق
من المكارم والإحسان مصطبحِ
I attained the pinnacle of my hopes
With bounties and favors like lamps
عارى المناكب والأعطاف من دنبر
ملفع برداء العز متّثحِ
Bare shoulders and arms without sin
Clad in the mantle of honor sparkling
وأثبت الناس قلبا فوق مندمج
سام سبوح طموح مشرف مرحِ
And people affirmed a heart above fused
Lofty, glorious, ambitious, honored, cheerful
وخير من ألقت الوراد من لغب
إلى نداه رحال الجلّة الطلَّحِ
And the best one upon whom the roses of eloquence have descended
To his call the travelers of all the lands flocked
أبا المحاسن والإحسان بكتزا
لمن رجا العفو في أخلاقك السمحِ
O father of beauty and favor in your generosity
Be joyous on the feast and humble your enviers through it
تهن بالعيد وانخر حاسديك به
مهنئا بدوام العمر والفرحِ
Congratulating on the permanence of life and joy
