Do not bury me, for that is forbidden to you,
But give glad tidings to mother of Amer,
That when they strike off my head, though my head most they sever,
And hurl me, when dead, on the course I used to follow,
There is no more hope that life will delight me,
After nights of evil and days of crime.
There was a time when, had that been said to me,
I had not been able, as now, to deny it.
