اذْهَبْ فَوُدُّكَ مِنْ فُؤَادِي طَالِقٌ

أَبَدًا وَلَيْسَ طَلَاقَ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ

Go away, though your love is released from my heart forever

Not the release of estrangement between us

فَإِنِ ارْعَوَيْتَ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلِيقَةٌ

وَيَدُومُ وُدُّكَ لِي عَلَى ثِنْتَيْنِ

For if you come back, it will be a single release

And your love will last for me doubly

وَإِنِ امْتَنَعْتَ شَفَعْتُهَا بِمِثَالِهَا

فَتَكُونُ تَطْلِيقَيْنِ فِي حَيْضَيْنِ

And if you refuse, I will double it to match it

So there will be two releases in two menstrual cycles

وَإِذَا الثَّلَاثُ أَتَتْكَ مِنِّي بَتَّةً

لَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْكَ وِلَايَةُ «السِّيبَيْنِ»

And when three come to you from me completely

The guardianship of elders won't avail you
