شَهِدتُ بِأَنَّ اللَهَ لا رَبَّ غَيرَهُ

وَأَشهَدُ أَنَّ البَعثَ حَقٌّ وَأَخلَصُ

I bear witness that Allah has no Lord other than Him

And I testify that the resurrection is true and I am sincere

وَأَنَّ عُرى الإيمانِ قَولٌ مُبَيَّنٌ

وَفِعلٌ زَكِيٌّ قَد يَزيدُ وَينقُصُ

And that the pillars of faith are clear words

And righteous deeds which may increase or decrease

وَإِنَّ أَبا بَكرٍ خَليفَةُ رَبِّهِ

وَكانَ أَبو حَفصٍ عَلى الخَيرِ يَحرِصُ

And indeed Abu Bakr is the Caliph of his Lord

And Abu Hafs was keen to do good

وَأَشهَدُ رَبّي أَنَّ عُثمانَ فاضِلٌ

وَأَنَّ عَلِيّاً فَضلُهُ مُتَخَصِّصُ

And I testify my Lord that Uthman is virtuous

And that Ali, his virtue is specialized

أَئِمَّةُ قَومٍ يُهتَدى بِهُداهُم

لَحى اللَهُ مَن إِيّاهُمُ يَتَنَقَّصُ

The Imams of a people who are guided by their guidance

Allah has protected those who diminish them
