1. لَيتَ الكِلابَ لَنا كانَت مُجاوِرَةً

    وَلَيتَنا لا نَرى مِمّا نَرى أَحَدا

    I wish the dogs were our neighbors

    And we did not see anyone we see

  2. إِنَّ الكِلابَ لَتَهدي في مَواطِنِها

    وَالخَلقُ لَيسَ بِهادٍ شَرُّهُم أَبَدا

    Dogs indeed guide in their dens

    While people are not guiding, their evil is endless

  3. فَاِهرُب بِنَفسِكَ وَاِستَأنِس بِوِحدَتِها

    تَبقى سَعيداً إِذا ما كُنتَ مُنفَرِدا

    So escape with yourself and befriend its solitude

    You will remain happy when you are alone
