أُحِبُّ مِنَ الإِخْوَانِ كُلَّ مُوَاتِي
وَكُلَّ غَضِيضِ الطَّرْفِ عَنْ عَثَرَاتِي
I love every brother who is kind to me
And overlooks my every slip and fault
يُوَافِقُنِي فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ أُرِيدُهُ
وَيَحْفَظُنِي حَيًّا وَبَعْدَ مَمَاتِي
He agrees with me in all I want
And guards me alive and after my death
فَمَنْ لِي بِهَذَا لَيْتَ أَنِّي أَصَبْتُهُ
فَقَاسَمْتُهُ مَا لِي مِنَ الحَسَنَاتِ
Oh, if only I could find such a one
With whom to share my every good deed
تَصَفَّحْتُ إِخْوَانِي فَكَانَ أَقَلَّهُمْ
عَلَى كَثْرَةِ الإِخْوَانِ أَهْلُ ثِقَاتِ
I surveyed my brothers but the least of them
For all the many brothers were men of trust
