وَأَنطَقَتِ الدَراهِمُ بَعدَ صَمتٍ

أُناساً بَعدَما كانوا سُكوتا

And the coins spoke after silence

People after they were quiet

فَما عَطَفوا عَلى أَحَدٍ بِفَضلٍ

وَلا عَرَفوا لِمَكرُمَةٍ ثُبوتا

So they did not show anyone grace

Nor did they know steadfastness for an honor
