طالَ الهوى وتمادى القال والقِيلُ

ليس السلامُ بشافي القلب من دنفٍ

ما لم يكن معه لمسٌ وتقبيلُ

Peace cannot heal a heart from malice

Without a touch and a kiss

وليس يرضى محبٌّ عن أحبَّتِه

حتى يفوز بما ضمَّ السراوِيلُ

A lover isn’t pleased with their beloved

Until they gain what's under their gown
