رف ليلي من نهاري

لحظاتٌ بانكسارِ

Moments with breaking
بأبي لحظك من لح
ظٍ ضعيفٍ ذي اقتدارِ
By my father your glance from a glance
Of a weak one with might
خالستني لك عينٌ
حيَّرتني باحورارِ
Your eye has held me spellbound for you
Confusing me with its redness
صار جفناها جناحَي
نِ لقلبي المستطارِ
Its eyelids have become two wings
For my fervent heart
وتولَّت نارُ خَدَّي
ك فؤادي باستِعارِ
And the fire of your cheeks
Has inflamed my heart with kindling
وجهك الجنة في الحُس
ن وقد زِينَ بنارِ
Your face is paradise in beauty
Adorned with fire
تلك نار ليس تُطفى
وسط ماءٍ غير جاري
That fire cannot be extinguished
In any water that does not flow
ما براك اللَه في ذا ال
وصف إلا لاعتباري
May God bless you in this

لك ظرفٌ في مجونٍ
ومزاح في وقارِ

روضة من ياسمينٍ
حول أصلَي جلَّنارِ
A garden of jasmine
Around braziers aflame
هذه الروضة حقّاً
فمتى قطفُ الثِّمارِ
Truly this garden
