1. يا مَن يجلُّ عن المقدار والخَطَرِ

    ومَن يدقُّ عن الأوهام والفِكَرِ

    O you who transcends all bounds and dangers

    And you who is beyond all illusions and thoughts

  2. ومَن له صورة في حسن صنعتها

    دقائقٌ لطفت عن سائر الصُّوَرِ

    You who has an image, beautifully crafted

    With subtle details surpassing all forms

  3. فيها ملاحات أنواعٍ مؤلفةٍ

    بحسنها بانَ عن كيفيّة البَشَرِ

    In it are combined, harmonious visions

    Revealing, through its beauty, the nature of mankind

  4. على شمائل في تركيبها بِدَعٌ

    صِيغت من النور والآيات للعِبَرِ

    With features composed with such grace

    Molded from light and signs for lessons to learn

  5. إن قلت غصنٌ على عليائه قمرٌ

    فإنما رُمت مدحَ الغصن والقمرِ

    If I say a branch in its loftiness is a moon

    I only sought to praise the branch and the moon

  6. سقانيَ الحبَّ كأساً كنتُ أحذرها

    والمرء يُؤتى إذا يُؤتى من الحَذَرِ

    Love has made me drink a cup I used to fear

    One is given what is destined despite all caution
