O you who your brothers sold
And you thrown into the fire, O beautiful one
If not for the saltiness of your wit that delights me
And the beauty of an eye, charming and bewitching
With eyebrows and blushed cheeks
And black, curly hair
I would not tend the stars of night in melancholy
Nor weep with copious, flowing tears
If you have left my company without fault
Then God will do me justice against every traitor
