O branch from under a full moon upon a palm tree

Upon sand dunes where the moon has waned

Time was envious of it in the eyes of people

So it grew hair in its hairline, grew hair

Gardens in which saffron is concentrated

And in which gazelles have wandered, red

Oh, why have my eyes shone their light for me

And I saw the moon of night, dawn contesting it
